Surviving Mars: Mysteries Resupply Pack

Surviving Mars: Mysteries Resupply Pack

Surviving Mars got a (free) small content update involving a few new mysteries, one for each difficulty level. I’m currently attempting to finish The Philosopher’s Stone mystery.  “Attempting” being the key word because I’m doing it in a hard area and I’m screwing up left and right. I haven’t finished it yet but I’m, as of now, liking the fact I’m getting good resources from these crystalline things even if it means my base has no power most the time.  But what this will turn into will be interesting.  Have I found a abandoned alien factory?  Or am I using the remnants of an ancient race solely for the purpose of profit?

“You know the greatest danger facing us is ourselves, an irrational fear of the unknown. But there’s no such thing as the unknown — only things temporarily hidden, temporarily not understood.” – Captain Kirk.

However on the other side, the added changes (that were added before this DLC dropped) are very welcomed. They added new domes to the game which was needed by at least me because I would go through what seemed to be half the research tree before I could get another type of dome so I just had many small domes all over the place then had to replace them with bigger ones down the line. Now with variant small domes make enough space for a good starting colony and other domes of varying sizes also helps.

The new domes are a VERY welcomed addition.

Added UI help is the “Inspect Dome” button that shows you the information of production buildings related to the dome for quick info on what it’s producing, what upgrades it has and what it’s consuming. As well as what people want/need from the same info panel.
For some reason they removed the manual maintenance button from everything so now you’re completely reliant on the drones eventually getting there to repair something, HOPEFULLY before the building malfunctions. In the past (when I didn’t have the breakthrough of drone hubs don’t need power/maintenance yet) I would priorities the drone hubs for repairs first because if they breakdown, I’m royally screwed. No drones means no maintenance, no maintenance means the colonists die. I already had that happen once when drones didn’t get to there hub in time so they shut down. Luckily I still had my RC rover to do an emergency repair but it is quite bothersome to do so.

The new UI update for domes is also welcome.

Oh well, that’s the workshop is for right?

Early access to the Mysteries Resupply Pack was provided by the developer.
