With the speed at which news comes out in the gaming industry we sometimes miss important or news worthy things. Some of these things we want to talk about in a way that is both easy for you guys and allows us to get all the facts together as some of these stories develop quickly. Sometimes we also just cover topics that we find interesting and want to discuss.
Borderlands 3 Announced
Moving on from that, while I’m not a die-hard fan of the Borderlands series, there are characters (Athena) I like and got a bit more sustenance out of them in Tales of the Borderlands. Before Telltale closed down, I was DESPERATELY hoping for a Tales 2 with Borderlands 3 but sadly not. But it seems that anyone (still alive) from the series is going to be here in one way or another. Slight amount of spoilers if you haven’t finished the pre-sequel: We see Lilith and the gang back, Tiny Tina (grown up) and plenty of other characters from the past including Rhys from Tales. So my only conclusion is Athena is somewhere and they didn’t want to spoil me by showing her. (Did you pick up the subtle information that I like Athena?)
Now I know Borderlands isn’t Tales, theirs just going to be comedy and run and gun and loot and as such, anything “serious” will happen (if at all) sparingly. But I do enjoy the story and gameplay but if they get a bit serious, I’d like it. Either way, I look forward to seeing what the story is going to be. What we last saw was a vault alien stopping Athena’s execution (*censored words of insult towards Lilith*) and telling us a war was coming. The trailer above doesn’t explain any of that but we got a “walking gun” so…that makes up for it right?
In other words, I’m looking forward to Borderlands 3.
