Steel Division: Normandy 44 – Patch Notes (6/14/17)

Today brings us the first major patch to Steel Division: Normandy 44  that is focused on balance. Many players have been waiting for a balance patch to fix some glaring issues with divisions usefulness.  Due to my limited experience at high level play I’m going to highlight a few quality of life fix’s.

Added new interface option: Text Size – This is a much welcomed addition, allowing players to change the text size of the UI without needing to scaling up the entire UI.

Improved the Quick Play and Ranked games, which now allow to search for different game sizes at the same time (i.e: from 1vs1 to 4vs4) – This is something I’m very happy to see. You can now search for 1v1 or 2v2 at the same hopefully decreasing wait times for queuing.

Added an option to have mod automatically activated when relaunching game – This feature is both needed and lets me know that modding is an important facet to developers that they want to improve support. Check out the full patch notes below for additional modding  updates.

The patch is quite large coming in at 1.5gb in size but has a laundry list of bug fix’s and balance changes. I hope that this game continues to get balance changes and updates to keep the game competitive. For a full list of all the changes check out the patch notes below.
