Dawn of War III is an RTS game developed by Relic Entertainment and is the third installment of the current generation of games. It takes place in the Games Workshop® Warhammer 40,000 universe. It involves having huge armies fight against each other for control of territory.

The beta will open at 10AM PST Friday, April 21st and run until 10AM PST Monday, April 24th.

The open beta will include three playable races that also will be the three races that ship with the game. They are Space Marines, Eldar, and Orks. Interesting to note that each Dawn of War game seems to ship with less playable armies each time. Absent from this are the Chaos Space Marines that were shipped with Dawn of War II. It will be interesting to see if those armies come in later as DLC. Hopefully the rational behind these three armies is to make it easier to balance during release.

You will also get access to Masters of War skins.  “The Dark Queen skin for Lady Solaria (Imperial Knight), the Ghost Seer skin for Farseer Taldeer (Wraithknight) and the Big Kustom skin for Beauty (Morkanaut) will all be available for use during the open beta period. It would seem these Master of War Skins Pack is including free with all pre-orders.
